The gold snuffbox features a rectangular shape with chamfered corners, panels with images executed in the églomisé technique (the technique of engraving on gold leaf applied to the reverse side of glass), and a hinged lid. Under the lid, there is a tobacco compartment with marks on the mirror-polished surfaces.
