The oval-shaped gold snuffbox features a hinged top lid. In the center of the top lid, there is an oval vertical medallion with a relief image of a conflict scene between a dog and a bird, taking place against a classical landscape. The composition is executed in gold of three colors using the engraving and chasing technique. The medallion is surrounded by a wavy guilloché background complemented by small circles and flower heads. Both the medallion and the perimeter of the lid are bordered by an engraved twisted cord. On the bottom, the guilloché background occupies the entire surface. On the side surface, there are four rectangular guilloché plaques separated by musical trophies within frames of rocaille work. The inner surfaces of the snuffbox are mirror-polished. Struck on the inner surface of the lid are the marks of the master, tax collector, and others. A case is included in the set.
