The cartouche-shaped Egyptian jasper snuffbox features a gold mount with a hinged lid. On the protruding lid with a faceted shaped edge and on the base, there is a unique natural pattern in brown, gray, and pinkish tones, with black speckles. The profiled mount of the lid and the mount of the base are smoothly polished. On the front side of the lid, there is a shaped projection for opening. Scratched on the base mount are the numbers “80” and “17”.
