The snuffbox features a rectangular gold cage structure with engraved scrolls and panels of caramel agate, with a hinged lid. The inner part of the cage structure features fluted wavy borders. Under the lid, there is a tobacco compartment. The lid is decorated with a carved ornament in the form of two birds among branches with leaves and flowers. On the front side of the lid, there is a projection for opening in the form of floral branches made of silver with cushion-cut diamonds. On the front and side surfaces of the body, there are panels with carved images of floral branches joined by a bow; the bottom panel is smooth.
