The top panel of the lid and the bottom panel of the body are polished and framed by a relief chased border in the form of beads on a matted ground and tracks of dots and dashed lines. In the center of the lid, a monogram of intertwined initials “J N” is engraved under a ducal crown. A mirror is installed on the inner side of the lid, the inner side of the base is mirror-polished, and marks are struck on the rim of the base.
