The gold rectangular body with a flat bottom and a hinged top lid is decorated with a chased and engraved ornament. The upper surface of the hinged lid is decorated with a shaped cartouche formed by chased volutes, inside of which there is a painted enamel image of a bouquet of flowers resting on a pedestal. The cartouche is surrounded by a floral ornament with ribbons on a matted ground, executed in multi-colored gold. The perimeter of the lid is framed by bundles of reeds intertwined with leaves. The bottom and side surfaces are decorated in a similar manner, but instead of a painted bouquet, the cartouches contain chased bouquets on a matted ground, executed in multi-colored gold. The inner surfaces of the snuffbox are mirror-polished.
