Maker's mark: conjoined letters “DM” under a crown, “Alaterre” rosette, letter “K” under a crown.

The snuffbox features a gold body of a cylindrical shape with a guilloché surface and a detachable lid. The lid with a guilloché pattern featuring concentric fluting is framed by a triple rim with a relief ornament and foliate elements within bands and circles of light blue enamel. On the mirror-polished inner sides of the lid and the body, there are marks: the maker's mark in the form of conjoined letters “DM” under a crown, the “Alaterre” rosette, and the letter “K” under a crown. The rim of the lid, the base, and the side surface are decorated with a relief ornament and bands of light blue enamel.
On the inner surfaces of the snuffbox, there are marks: a half-erased maker's mark, and inside on the lid and the bottom, there are three marks each (two under a crown, one in the form of a flower).
