Oval-shaped gold snuffbox featuring a hinged lid. The interior surfaces of the lid and bottom have mirror polish and bear assay marks. The lid and the bottom of the box are decorated along the perimeter with ornamental border featuring a raised pattern of multicoloured enamelled flower and leaf garlands, executed against stippled field. The top of the lid and the exterior surface of the bottom are decorated with applied gold paillons against light blue enamel background, forming delicate compositions with vases, flowers, birds, foliated branches, as well as strings of beads and fringes with green enamel inlays. Similar gold paillons with alternating decorative motifs against light blue background, enclosed within shaped frames featuring raised floral ornament of blue and green enamel against stippled field are on the box side walls.
