Rectangular gold snuffbox features a hinged lift-top lid. The interior surfaces of the body are mirror-polished. The exterior surfaces of the item are decorated with chased and engraved ornamentation, as well as polychrome enamel miniatures. The top of the lid and the side walls present depictions of tavern genre scenes, enclosed within shaped frames composed of rocaille motifs, leafy branches, and flowers. The front edge of the lid is adorned with a cast silver-toned metal overlay inlaid with simple-cut clear stones.
