Cylindrical silver tea-glass holder featuring a molded ring base and a parcel-gilt interior with traces of gilding. The smooth cylindrical body of the vessel is fitted with a tall, softly curved shaped handle. The rim is decorated with an openwork pierced frieze adorned in the Neoclassical style with a symmetrical raised composition depicting griffins seated on either side of a burning sacrificial altar, their long tails transitioning into foliate scroll-rosettes. The upper edge of the openwork band is bordered by a stamped (rolled) bead-and-reel (beaded) molding.
The substantial handle features longitudinal fluting in its upper third and a smooth central section, accented by transverse bands: a raised meander frieze at the top and a stylized beaded border below. The architectural design of the handle is completed by applied elements in the form of an acanthus leaf with a rosette at the upper attachment point to the body, and lush acanthus leaves at the lower base.
