A trinket box (casket) with removable lid, made of glazed ceramics in the form of a squat, rectangular stack of folded handkerchiefs. The sculptural modeling of the body naturalistically renders the texture of fabric with raised folds; one of the corners of the top handkerchief is slightly turned up. At the center, the surface of the lid is adorned with a dimensional, molded pink ribbon tied in a full bow, imitating a bundle tie. Atop the bow rests an applied sculptural decoration in the form of a bouquet of violets in a paper horn. The surface of the piece is decorated with polychrome overglaze painting featuring motifs of wild flowers, woodland buds, and a miniature depiction of an insect (a bumblebee or a wasp).
