The sculpture depicts a girl whose image is merged with the forms of a fantastical flower. Large red-and-gold petals surround the shoulders and head, while the lower part develops into a stylized stem with leaves. Bright enamel in red, turquoise and green is combined with gilt bronze, enhancing the decorative effect. The smooth modelling of the face contrasts with the relief surface of the plant elements. Such a fusion of the human figure with natural forms is characteristic of Art Nouveau aesthetics, in which flowers and plants became major sources of artistic motifs.
