Rectangular gold snuffbox with rounded corners and concave side facets, featuring a hinged lid that conceals tobacco compartment with mirror-polished interior surfaces. The central part of the lid is adorned with an applied monogram of the British Queen Victoria – “VR” (Victoria Regina) beneath royal crown, set with rose-cut diamonds. The monogram is positioned within an oval reserve against translucent blue enamel background over a starburst engine-turned (guilloché) pattern. The medallion is enclosed within a frame of closely set diamond inlays, surrounded by wide chased and engraved field with a lush ornament of foliate scrolls.

The four rounded corners of the lid are accentuated by large diamonds in silver prong (claw) settings, integrated into bands of translucent blue enamel. The side walls and the bottom of the snuffbox feature rectangular panels with a regular geometric engine-turned pattern, bordered by a similar engraved ornament with stylized foliate scrolls.
