Oval gold snuffbox, featuring scalloped rims, is equipped with a hinged lift-top lid concealing a tobacco compartment with mirror-polished interior surfaces. The top of the lid is decorated with small central oval medallion depicting military attributes, flowers, and leaves against a field of light green opaque enamel. The medallion is surrounded by a radiant frieze of radially expanding panels decorated with polychrome compositions of flowers and leaves against a background of bright green opaque enamel. The scalloped side walls of the body are adorned with floral motifs on green enamel field, separated by gold borders. Placed in the center of the bottom of the snuffbox is an oval medallion featuring a floral composition against light green opaque enamel background.
