The oval-shaped gold snuffbox features a hinged top lid. In the center of the top lid, the bottom side, and along the side surface, there are painted enamel images of flower bouquets against a gradient opalescent background. A small bird is perched near each bouquet. The images are surrounded by engraved branches with leaves and guilloché elements under blue translucent enamel. The background covering all free surfaces is formed by an engraved ornament in the form of rows of straight strokes, between which peculiar "scales" are engraved. The inner surfaces of the snuffbox are mirror-polished.
