The profiled polished shell of the case serves as the movement carcass. Mounting screws are visible on bevelled corners. The sides are covered with thin plates decorated with enamel landscapes in ornately shaped vignettes placed on repoussed field with chased flowers and ribbons. The plates’ perimeters are adorned with enamel frames with chased elements. Brackets in the form of polished balls are fixed on the shell wide sides. Wire curls on the sides support the upper ball. Musical movement winding rod passes through the ball. The rod ends with thin double ring that is the crown. The suspension swivel is attached to the ring. Lower ball serves as a fastener for the blued steel key stem with square cut channel. Flat slider located on the shell narrow side activates the movement. The mechanism is comprised of pinned cylinder and stack of eight tuned slats and spring engine.
