The clock is enclosed in a dark brown wooden casing with a profiled cornice, on a gilded brass base and golden brass protruding supports. On the chamfered vertical edges, there are cast applied mounts in the form of herms with descending garlands. On the keel-shaped finial with brass spacers, there is a gilded brass handle and an applied gilded ornament on the front side, with pine cones at the corners of the cornice. On the front and back sides of the casing, there are glazed doors with a lock, golden trim, and a shaped top. The corners of the doors are decorated with openwork ornament and lined with red fabric on the inner side.On the side surfaces, there are circular and rectangular acoustic windows with a concave upper side and a golden border over openwork grilles, closed with green fabric on the inner side; on the left, there is a hole for a cord for voluntary activation of the musical mechanism and the automaton. On the brass dial field, there are gilded applied mounts in the form of leaves and scrolls at the corners. On the upper applied mounts, there are circular silvered indicators with hands and inscriptions: on the right “Strike / Silent”, on the left — titles of four melodies. The clock movement is equipped with a pendulum verge escapement, a pendulum bob with an engraved ornament, an eight-day winding, a verge escapement, an hourly strike on a large bell, a repeater, three spring barrels, and fusees.
