The pinned wooden barrel is made of wood in the shape of a cylinder with outlets of metal half-axles on both sides, and toothed wooden gear on the right side. On the right side of the barrel, pin with ten notches corresponding to the number of melodies is fixed. On the working surface, covered with thick paper bearing the inscription “Cylindre No. 2” and numbers of the first, fourth, and fifth melodies, metal pins and staples are driven in, the arrangement of which determines the ten played melodies.
