The facade is decorated with two black columns with gilded carved Ionic capitals and bases. The top features an arched roof surmounted by a gilded carved eagle with outspread wings. The hinged upper section drops down to form a writing surface. The interior contains a series of drawers and compartments, with a concealed lever to activate the musical movement. The side panels feature lockable doors with rectangular windows lined with greenish-gold fabric, providing access to the organ mechanism.

The center of the pediment features a clock with a round enamel dial behind a glass door. The dial with Roman numerals features three winding holes, and is signed below the twelve o'clock position: “ALOIS RECHEL IN WIEN”.

The pipe organ mechanism consists of 51 wooden labial pipes in two registers, a bellows, and a wooden pinned barrel. The movement is driven by a 40 kg weight, which is wound up using a crank handle.
