A musical automaton in a vertical lacquered light oak case, divided vertically into three sections. The facade of the case is designed in the Art Nouveau style. The lower section is enclosed by a hinged paneled door featuring a carved wooden overlay in the center. Inside is a compartment for interchangeable program cylinders. A pull-out coin box with a lock is mounted on runners in the upper left corner of the compartment. In the middle section, two hinged doors with stained-glass windows made of colored ribbed and mirrored glass in a metal frame enclose the mechanism and the musical instruments of the automaton. Below the stained-glass windows are acoustic openings with carved wooden grilles, lined with fabric from the inside. Octagonal acoustic openings with straight grilles are featured in the upper section of the case. The top of the case is covered with a lid featuring a thin, wide cornice. The lateral sides of the facade are decorated along their entire height with fluted rounded pilasters. The controls and a tune indicator with explanatory inscriptions on metal plates, a coin slot, and a removable weight winding crank are located on the left side wall. The musical automaton is driven by a weight-driven mechanism with a centrifugal governor located in the middle section. A wooden cylinder and 43 reading levers serve as the programming device. The musical apparatus includes a simplified 38-note piano, a 10-note xylophone, a snare drum with two beaters, a cymbal, and a triangle. The interchangeable program cylinder allows playing one of six musical pieces of choice. The automaton is started by a coin dropped into the coin slot.
