A half-length bust of Ismaïl Pacha – Khedive of Egypt. He is depicted in military uniform with epaulettes, decorations on his chest, an order sash over his shoulder, and a fez on his head. The bust is mounted on a goblet-shaped pedestal. Between the bust and the pedestal is an oval medallion featuring mirrored letters "P". The medallion is surmounted by a crown and framed by military trophies.
Ismaïl Pacha – Khedive of Egypt from 1863 to 1879. The third son of Ibrahim Pasha, he expanded Egypt's autonomy, which was formally considered part of the Ottoman Empire. He implemented reforms that objectively fostered capitalist development and the effective modernization of the country.
