The gold snuffbox features a curved, rectangular body with chamfered corners, with two compartments and hinged top lids. Under the left lid, there is a tobacco compartment with mirror-polished surfaces. Under the right lid, on a panel featuring a complex ornament of gold, white, light blue, and black enamel, there is a watch case with a circular dial of white enamel. The dial features hour markers with Arabic numerals, minute markers with Arabic numerals every fifteen divisions, a winding hole with a pin, and two gold shaped hands. Both lids and the bottom panel are decorated with alternating bands: of white enamel, gold with a relief ornament, light blue enamel with gold diamonds, light blue enamel entwined with gold leaves, flowers, branches with gold leaves on a field of opaque black enamel. Along the contour of the lids, there is a track with a gold ornament of diamonds and foliate scrolls on a field of black enamel within a border of white enamel bands. The side surfaces are decorated with gold foliate compositions within rectangles of black and light blue enamel, separated by a border of white enamel and gold.
