Mark: "Gallé a Nancy // St. Clement" (ornamental inscription in black enamel). The clock is additionally marked on the underside: "St. Clément" (underglaze blue mark)
A three-piece clock set (garniture de cheminée) made of glazed faience, comprising a mantel clock and a pair of candlesticks. The clock case is designed in dynamic, asymmetrical Rococo forms reminiscent of a seashell with scrolls, wavy lines, and vegetal rocaille motifs. The round metal dial is decorated with chased floral ornamentation; Roman numerals are applied to individual white enamel plaques (cartouches). The silhouettes of the two decorative candlesticks mirror the sculptural curves and rhythmic lines of the clock case, creating a unified composition.
