France, Paris

Amber glass, enamel; polychrome enamel painting, blow molding
Amber glass lamp shaped vase with rounded body, flared neck, and conical base. The surface of the lamp is decorated with polychrome enamel painting: a thin geometric frieze along the neck. Blue enamel inscription "IMAS" on light background is encircled by delicate tendrils and stylized trefoils. The body is covered with a dense carpet pattern of intertwining stems and plant shoots (arabesques) on bright blue background.
A circular
medallion in the center features a symmetrical floral pattern of white, red,
and gold, forming traditional Oriental blazons (coats of arms).
